Welcome to BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre
BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), is the only facility in B.C. devoted primarily to the health of women, newborns, and families. Located in Vancouver, B.C., we provide a range of specialized, tertiary, and primary and secondary health services that address the needs of women of all ages and backgrounds. We also provide training for providers across the province. In all our work, BC Women’s strives to provide excellence in care, research and teaching. As an academic health centre, BC Women's is affiliated with the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and other education and research institutions.

Prenatal classes
BC Women’s offers childbirth education classes to help you learn about and prepare for your pregnancy, birth and life with a new baby. All of our classes are taught by Registered Nurses and Physiotherapists. We strive to ensure that you will receive the most current, up to date information about pregnancy and birth in a supportive and caring environment. You can register online.

Women's Health Research Institute
The new Women’s Health Research Institute was established in 2005 as the research arm of BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre with a mandate to support research activities to improve health care for women throughout B.C. Our aim is to ensure health program and policy decisions are based on the best and most current evidence about women’s health. |

Reproductive Mental Health
The Reproductive Mental Health Program is a joint program of BC Women’s and St. Paul's Hospital. Services are provided to women who experience psychiatric disorders, such as major depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, or psychosis related to their reproductive cycle. |

Got milk?
BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre provides support for breastfeeding families through Lactation Services. BC Women’s is also home to Canada’s only human milk bank. It provides pasteurized donor milk to high risk and ill children when their mothers are not able to provide enough breast milk. Donors always welcome! |
