Waterloo Region welcomes new immigrants, and works to ensure they find the job, home and services they need.
The Waterloo Region Immigrant Employment Network is a local strategy that works to help immigrants find jobs that match their skills. A Community Inclusion Committee of community groups and all three levels of government work to ensure all people are respected and included. The Public Health department works to tailor baby care, immunization clinics, dental care and other services to the needs of newcomers. The Region is also working to meet the housing needs of new immigrants.
