City of Sherbrooke

The University of Sherbrooke has approximately 35,000 foreign students from 60 countries. Thanks to its close ties with the industries, it can offer Cooperative Education programs. In Canada, it ranks first in terms of patents; it offers a wide range of programmes in the fields of health, the environment, microelectronics, optics technology, and communications.

As well, Bishop’s University in Lennoxville is only a few minutes from Sherbrooke. Founded in 1843, this English university has 2,100 students from 35 countries and offers programs in the arts, administration, communications, computer science and literature.

University, College, Pre-University and Technical Studies

  • Collège de Sherbrooke: group and personalized general training and upgrading; upgrading training course bank.

  • Séminaire de Sherbrooke: private educational institution — offers courses at the secondary and college level as well as industry-based training.

  • Champlain Regional College: in Lennoxville, on the campus of Bishop’s University. The courses are offered in English; it also has student residences.
