This list allows Canada Border Service Agency to screen commercial importers of new, fully-complying Canadian-specification vehicles at border entry points. If the importing company is on this list, the vehicles can be directly imported through Customs at any Canadian designated port of entry. There is no requirement for an inspection by the Registrar of Imported Vehicles and no service charges apply. The onus for claiming pre-clearance status however lies with the importers or their agent at the time of importation. Preclearance List of Recognized Vehicle Importers This list is made available on our web site for the use of the manufacturers and importers on the list, Canadian customs brokers, the Registrar of Imported Vehicles, and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
