The exhibition, featuring 53 unique ceramic pieces from the Cabot Commemorative State Service, celebrates the centennial of its creation by members of the Women’s Art Association of Canada to mark the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Canada by John Cabot in 1497. Subsequently presented to Lady Aberdeen in 1898 by members of the Canadian Parliament at the end of Lord Aberdeen’s term as Governor General, these artistic treasures have been temporarily loaned by the National Trust for Scotland.
