Wave Eaters: Native Watercraft in Canada
From:  June 13, 1996
To:      November 16, 1997

Designed for sea, lake or river, the varied types of watercraft developed by Canada’s First Peoples are respected and admired throughout the world for their performance and their beauty.

The display of dug-outs, bark canoes and skin boats from the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s collections highlights the creativity and skill of Indian and Inuit boat builders.
