Jamestown, Québec, Santa Fe: Three North American Beginnings
From:  May 9, 2008
To:      September 7, 2008

Four hundred years ago, the English, French and Spanish empires shared one idea: conquering the New World. To fulfil their ambitions, they settled Jamestown, Québec and Santa Fe. In time, their quest to tame the new land and create new societies changed the face of the world.

This exhibition has been jointly organized by the Virginia Historical Society and the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History, with support from Robins Foundation, Land America, Jamestown 2007, and Virginia Department of Historic Resources..
