Continuation of Ore Processing at the McClean Lake Operation

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission will conduct a screening commencing on October 30, 2003 of the project:
Continuation of Ore Processing at the McClean Lake Operation.
Principal Project: The development, mining and milling of the Sue E ore reserves and the management of waste rock and tailings.
Accessory Projects: The development of mine rock storage areas
Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission may issue a permit or license under subsection 27(1) of the Atomic Energy Control Regulations.
This project is also being assessed by the Government of Saskatchewan.
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency will act as the Federal Environmental Assessment Coordinator for this environmental assessment.
