Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act, that AEGON Insurance Company (U.K.) Limited ("AEGON") intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions on or after August 27, 2002, for the release of its assets in Canada. AEGON has discharged or provided for the discharge of all its obligations and liabilities in Canada, including its liabilities under terminated policies.
