Yukon Territory

Yukon Territory Heritage Resources Unit
Heritage Resources Unit co-ordinates and manages all aspects of land based heritage resources. The Unit also provides heritage related funding.

Yukon Territory Yukon Council on Disability
A non-profit society with a volunteer board that has cross-disability representation. We are organized to be a resource for Yukoners with disabilities on issues of equity, community awareness, government policy and employment.

Yukon Territory Yukon Housing Corporation
Yukon Housing Corporation (YHC) provides funding support for home improvements related to special needs of people with disabilities through two programs: Home Repair Program and Rental Rehabilitation Program. YHC also manages subsidized housing within the Yukon Territory.

Non-government organisation Canada's Association for the Fifty-Plus
Today, more than 400,000 members support CARP's mandate to effectively promote the rights and quality of life of mature Canadians. A non-profit organization, CARP does not receive government operating funding in order to maintain its independence. CARP stands for Canadian Association of Retired Persons. However, the name no longer describes CARP's membership who are 50 years or older, retired or not.

Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is the major federal agency responsible for funding health research in Canada. It aims to excel in the creation of new health knowledge, and to translate that knowledge from the research setting into real world applications.

Canada Grant Programs
The Canada Council for the Arts offers a broad range of grants and services to professional Canadian artists and arts organizations in dance, media arts, music, theatre, writing and publishing, interdisciplinary work and performance art, and the visual arts. All programs are accessible to Aboriginal artists or arts organizations, and artists or arts organizations from diverse cultural or regional communities.

Non-government organisation National Cancer Institute of Canada
The National Cancer Institute of Canada is moving forward to meet the challenges of controlling cancer. We provide funding across the full research spectrum from basic to clinical and behavioural research, including research into the causes of cancer and its prevention.
