Canada Family Group Decision Making
When there is abuse or neglect in families, one means by which family members can decide what to do is known as "Family Group Decision Making." This approach allows plans to be made by the family, together with their relatives, friends and other close supports. Together, these planners make up the "family group." Their plans deal with the maltreatment of any family member, whether a child, young person or adult.

Non-government organisation Taking Action Against Abuse of Seniors
This report describes the development and outcomes of the Canadian Association for Community Care (CACC) project "Taking Action Against Abuse of Seniors". The goal of the project was to assist CACC member agencies in working proactively to prevent abuse, and in taking appropriate action where abuse is already taking place, throught the sharing of resources and education of staff and volunteers regarding abuse of seniors.
