AERONAUTICS ACT

Regulations Amending the Trenton Airport Zoning Regulations (Miscellaneous Program)

P.C. 2003-1132 24 July, 2003

Whereas, in the opinion of the Minister of National Defence, the annexed Regulations make no material substantive change in an existing zoning regulation and there is therefore, under paragraph 5.5(2)(b) (see footnote a)  of the Aeronautics Act, no publication requirement under subsection 5.5(1) (see footnote b)  of that Act;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Defence, pursuant to paragraph 5.4(2)(b) (see footnote c)  of the Aeronautics Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Trenton Airport Zoning Regulations (Miscellaneous Program).

REGULATIONS AMENDING THE TRENTON AIRPORT ZONING REGULATIONS (MISCELLANEOUS PROGRAM)

AMENDMENT

1. The third paragraph of Part VIII of the schedule to the English version of the Trenton Airport Zoning Regulations (see footnote 1)  is replaced by the following:

thence northwesterly along the said northeast end of the strip on a bearing of north 37º33'40" west for a distance of 150.000 m to the north corner of the strip;

REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS STATEMENT

(This statement is not part of the Regulations.)

Description

The amendment to the Trenton Airport Zoning Regulations corrects a non-substantive problem identified by the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations. This amendment seeks to correct an inconsistency between the English and the French versions.

It is expected that this change will have little impact on Canadians. The miscellaneous amendments regulations were developed to streamline the regulatory process as well as to reduce costs.
