Vol. 137, No. 9 April 23, 2003 Registration SI/2003-93 23 April, 2003CANADA WILDLIFE ACT Order Authorizing the Minister of the Environment to Exercise, with the Concurrence of the Minister of National Defence, the Administration of Certain Public LandsP.C. 2003-505 10 April, 2003 Whereas certain public lands under the administration of the Minister of National Defence are, in the opinion of the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of National Defence, required for wildlife research, conservation or interpretation; Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of National Defence pursuant to subsection 4(3) (see footnote a) of the Canada Wildlife Act (see footnote b) , hereby authorizes the Minister of the Environment to exercise, with the concurrence of the Minister of National Defence, the powers referred to in subsection 4(2) (see footnote c) of that Act in relation to the public lands described in the annexed schedule. SCHEDULE In the province of Alberta and being: All of Areas "B" and "C" as shown on a plan of survey of record in the Land Titles Office for the South Alberta Land Registration District as number 951-0828. Containing respectively 20,408 hectares (50,429 acres) and 25,399 hectares (62,762 acres), more or less. Excepting thereout all mines and minerals EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order.) This authorization permits the Minister of the Environment to exercise, with the concurrence of the Minister of National Defence, powers relating to wildlife research, conservation or interpretation on certain lands administered by the Minister of National Defence.
