Vessel Registration

All commercial vessels must be registered. If your vessel is more than 15 gross tons (see FAQ on Registration for more information) or if you need to mortgage the vessel, you will register it in the Canadian Register of Vessels. Otherwise, it will be registered in the Small Vessel Register. You can, however, voluntarily register a vessel less than or equal to 15 gross tons in the Canadian Register of Vessels.
