The organization is headed by a Chief, Engineering who reports directly to the Branch Director, Aircraft Certification. There are six technical sections, each related to an aspect of aeronautical engineering. The technical sections are:

  • Powerplants and Emissions,
  • Structures,
  • Avionics and Electrical Systems,
  • Electronic Equipment Design Assurance,
  • Fuel and Hydro Mechanical Control Systems,
  • Occupant Safety and Environmental Systems.

In all there are 40 Engineering positions and 3 administration support staff in the division.
