Implementing the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals in Canada
In October 2003, a workshop was held to launch the implementation of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals in Canada. The objectives were:
- for the government to explain the GHS and to start to build a common understanding;
- for the government to listen as stakeholders express their ideas about GHS implementation;
- to identify issues associated with the implementation of GHS in Canada and
- to identify options/solutions for the implementation of GHS in Canada.
This section provides the results of this workshop.
