ETP SPONSORS INNOVATIVE GREENHOUSE DESIGN
With assistance from CETC's Emerging Technologies Program (ETP), P.M.G.'s pilot project for using geothermal energy to curb greenhouse energy costs by 20% is now a finalist in AQME's Energia contest. This innovate system consists of a coolant fluid circulating in a network of tubes buried only 90 cm (3ft) deep. Heat is transferred between the ground soil (the evaporator) outside the greenhouse and a concrete slab (the condenser) beneath the plants.
