Advisory Circulars (ACs) provide the aviation community and TCCA personnel with information on a given subject as it relates to the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and its associated Standards, and other Regulations used in the course of the civil aviation program. An AC may provide an example of acceptable means, but not the only means of demonstrating compliance with regulations and standards.

Document numbers now follow an approach similar to the numbering structure of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) Parts and Standards, which should permit people to more easily find advisory and internal procedural information on a given topic. Documents are available in HTML and PDF formats.

Example:  If you are searching for advisory information on flight crew licensing related to Canadian Aviation Regulation (CAR) 401, then you should be able to find that information on the “Advisory Circular” web page under “Series” 401.
