The National Consultation on the Crisis in Vision Loss, under the auspices of the CNIB's E.A. Baker Foundation for the Prevention of Blindness, brought together representatives from government, consumer and advocacy groups, the health-care professions, social service agencies, academia, and industry to identify the key issues and challenges associated with vision loss and to establish them on Canada's public health agenda.
