Nominations

Nominators and nominees must sign the Nomination Form acknowledging that they agree to abide by the Award Rules as defined in this Nomination Guide.

In addition to the Nomination Form, supporting documentation is required to successfully nominate a candidate. It is the responsibility of nominators to ensure that documentation is complete as per the following Format and Requirements:

Please note that nominations will not be considered if there is incomplete or insufficient documentation.

Text

1.  Identify the applicable nomination categories for which the candidate is to be considered.

2.  Provide supporting documentation, including (as applicable):

  1. A narrative describing the contribution, its impact and the significance to aviation safety.

    This narrative should highlight such things as:

    • personal or group qualities, skills, innovativeness, commitment, dedication, strategic leadership, teambuilding, partnerships, and stewardship for the aviation community;
    • organization and deployment of resources (financial and human), and involvement or commitment at significant personal expense in a major program, project, research study, action or activity.
    • the scope and impact of activities, i.e. benefits and results.
  1. Additional documentation, as applicable (e.g. letters of commendation, statistical data, performance appraisals, reports, and newspaper/journal articles).

Deadline

The deadline for nomination submissions is December 31. Nominations received or dated after December 31 will be considered in the following year, upon receipt of a newly completed Nomination Form, signed and dated in the new year.

The Award recipient will be notified by March 15.
