Take a hands-on role in developing profitable new business ventures, overseeing the company's development, and actively participating on the investee company's Board of Directors. You will assist with essential development initiatives, including sourcing additional equity investors and strategic partners, help to build the management team, and conducting strategic planning. Most importantly, you will raise the company's profile in both the venture capital and business communities.

A thorough understanding of and appreciation for the dynamics of small business is a definite asset. It is the ideal career move for an entrepreneurial-oriented professional with one of the following backgrounds:

• 3-5 years progressive experience in a relevant industry such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, telecommunications, software development, electronic commerce, Internet, or electronics, as well as an MBA and a degree in a scientific or technical field

• Over 5 years hands-on experience in the venture capital field in one or more of the above industries
  
  
  
• Effective communication skills in both official languages (required in certain locations) considered an asset
