Welcome to RTNDA Canada

The Radio-Television News Directors Association is the voice of electronic journalists in Canada. It is made up of more than 400 news directors, reporters, producers educators, students and industry associates across the country. Our goal is to foster the very best in Radio, Television and New Media.

RTNDA Canada is dedicated to fostering excellence in electronic journalism. Our Code of Ethics is recognized as the benchmark for the broadcast industry in Canada.

Our association was created in 1962. It has grown considerably since then and now provides assistance to journalists from coast to coast to coast. This is accomplished through professional development seminars, regional and national conferences and regular communication to our members through the weekly RTNDA Update newsletter.

Every year RTNDA honours the very best in Canadian Radio, Television and New Media journalism with the prestigious Regional and National RTNDA Awards Program.

We encourage stations to enter and to recognize the vast quality of talent across this country.
