Information Management Champions Committee - Membership List
Treasury Board Secretariat
The IM Champions Committee (IMCC) provides direction to the development of human resources capacity within the information management community. It is the key leadership forum for the direction of this agenda. The Committee identifies IM community requirements and makes recommendations for initiatives and programs. The Committee also serves as a forum for resource management.

Information Management Forum - Membership List

The purpose of The Information Management Forum, co-chaired by Treasury Board Secretariat and Library and Archives Canada, is to identify information management issues common to government institutions and develop practical solutions that have government-wide application.

Information Management Leadership Initiative – Participants
Government of Canada
The IM Community's Information Management Leadership Initiative (IMLI) is an important first step in developing IM leadership capacity. It is a two-year, centrally administered learning initiative designed to meet common needs identified by individual departments. The first cohort of 25 participants from 18 departments are both developing their own leadership skills and designing a groundbreaking program that allows them to continue meeting their commitments within their departments while in the program.

MGI Senior Executives

Responsibilities of senior executives accountable for implementing the Management of Government Information (MGI) policy include championing information management; co-ordinating the strategic planning, resourcing, and implementation of information management activities, including training and development for staff; ensuring that information management requirements are identified and addressed during program and system design; ensuring that the effectiveness of policy implementation is periodically assessed; and ensuring that information management accountability frameworks and terms of reference are in place when information is shared with other federal government institutions, other governments, or non-governmental organizations.

Functional Communities Portal

The portal is for and about the people who work in these functional communities, who share common work purposes, functions, and professional interests across the Government of Canada. Most public servants are members of at least one functional community. The Web portal was launched on April 2, 2003 at the First Annual Retreat of the Coordinating Committee of Functional Communities, which is made up of the Heads of the Functional Community secretariats and representatives from the Public Service Commission, Training and Development Canada, and the Canadian Centre for Management Development.

Records Management
RDIMS Partners
Government of Canada
RDIMS was developed by a group of departments and agencies. The group worked together to prepare and evaluate the RFP. An interdepartmental Board of Directors, supported by several working groups, directs the development of RDIMS and fosters its implementation in partner departments.
