Communities Portal
Government of Canada The portal is for and about the people who work in these functional communities, who share common work purposes, functions, and professional interests across the Government of Canada. Most public servants are members of at least one functional community. The Web portal was launched on April 2, 2003 at the First Annual Retreat of the Coordinating Committee of Functional Communities, which is made up of the Heads of the Functional Community secretariats and representatives from the Public Service Commission, Training and Development Canada, and the Canadian Centre for Management Development. Government of Canada RDIMS was developed by a group of departments and agencies. The group worked together to prepare and evaluate the RFP. An interdepartmental Board of Directors, supported by several working groups, directs the development of RDIMS and fosters its implementation in partner departments.
