Changes to Standard Banks in Info Source: Sources of Federal Employee Information

As part of the 2003-2004 update of Info Source: Sources of Federal Employee Information, a brief introduction has now been added to the Standard Personal Information Banks. This Introduction describes the purpose of Standard Banks, as well information related to relevant Retention and Disposal Standards.

In addition, the following Standard Banks have been revised:

• Discipline (PSE 911)· Employee Personnel Record (PSE 901)
• Pay and Benefits (PSE 904)
• Values and Ethics Code for the Public Service – formerly titled "Conflict of Interest and Post-Employment Code" (PSE 915)
  • This Standard Bank was revised to reflect the new Value and Ethics Code, available at:  http//www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pubs_pol/hrpubs/tb_851/vec-cve_e.asp

Also please note that some changes were also made to the Standard Banks in the 2002-2003 version of Info Source: Sources of Federal Employee Information.

• Personnel Security Screening (Reliability Screening/Security Clearance) (PSE 924) was created. This merged two previous Standard Banks - Reliability Checks (PSE 921) and Security Clearances (PSE 909)
• Internal Disclosure of Information Concerning Wrongdoing in the Workplace (PSE 923)
  • This Standard Bank was created to reflect the new policy "Policy on the Internal Disclosure of Information Concerning Wrongdoing in the Workplace" available at: http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pubs_pol/hrpubs/tb_851/idicww-diicaft_e.asp
