National Library of Canada Launches Online Guide to Electronic Publishing
Inspired by consultations held with the Canadian publishing community, the National Library of Canada's new
Electronic Publishing: A Guide to Best Practices for Canadian
Publishers, provides practical solutions, standards and resources for writers and publishers who are new to the universe of electronic publishing.
Thesauri and Controlled Vocabularies: Terminology Used in the Federal Government of Canada
The National Library has launched a new web page on terminology used in the federal government of Canada.
The web page includes thesauri, classification schemes, controlled vocabularies, geographic names, subject clusters and taxonomies. In addition, also included are links to compendia compiled by experts in the field, construction and management tools, related research and projects, as well as standards. If you check back in a few weeks, you will see additional resources listed because this is an ongoing list, and by no means complete.
If you have a thesaurus or other links for inclusion, please contact Fay Hjartarson at
fay.hjartarson@nlc-bnc.ca. Your comments and suggestions are most welcome.
NOTE: Links to this web page are available on the IMRC's Metadata
pages.
