Canada's New Government announces sales program for the 11,000 acres of land in
Mirabel, Québec

MIRABEL, Quebec − Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the announcement of the
establishment of
a sales program for the 11,000 acres of farmland in Mirabel. In the front
row are Laurent Pellerin, President of the Union des producteurs agricoles du
Quebec; the Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure
and Communities; Marcel Denis, of the Union des producteurs agricoles de la
région de l'Outaouais-Laurentides; and Jacques Gourde, Parliamentary Secretary
to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. At the rear are some of the
members of the 11,000 Acres Committee.
