Toyota is recalling 15,600 Tundra four-by-four pickup trucks to repair a propeller shaft, the Japanese automaker said Friday.
The recall affects 2007 model year trucks. Toyota said the rear propeller wasn't properly heat-treated and may cause the propeller shaft to split. This flaw can immobilize the truck, causing the vehicle to coast to a stop.
No accidents or injuries associated with the problem have been reported to the company.
Dealers will inspect the trucks to determine if a replacement shaft is required.
