Argentina topped the monthly men's world soccer rankings released by FIFA on Monday, winning FIFA's team of the year honours in the process.
The final rankings from soccer's world governing body Monday had an unchanged top 10 from November.

Argentina was first, followed by Brazil and world champion Italy.
The rest of the top 10 was rounded out by Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Netherlands and Croatia.
European champion Greece came in at No. 11, one spot ahead of England.
Canada remained at No. 55, sandwiched between Slovakia and Ecuador.
At 15, Mexico is the top team from CONCACAF, the soccer confederation that covers North and Central America and the Caribbean.
Canada ranks fourth among CONCACAF nations behind Mexico, the United States (No. 19), and Honduras (No. 53).
Seven teams, including Guam, Belize and the U.S. Virgin Islands, were tied for last at No. 201.
The next FIFA rankings will be published Jan. 16.
