The Act and Related RegulationsThe Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) provides the federal government with authority to address pollution problems on land, in water, and through all layers of the atmosphere. The New Substances Notification Regulations (Organisms) specify the prescribed information to be submitted if a living organism that is an animate product of biotechnology, including an aquatic organism, intended for import or manufacture, is not on the Domestic Substances List. |
