Collective Bargaining

Three people around a desk.
Highlights

Through collective bargaining, employers and unions work out the terms and conditions of employment for workers, which are then finalized as a signed contract or collective agreement.  The Government of Canada, through the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, provides neutral third-party assistance to federally regulated employers and unions to help resolve and prevent labour-management disputes.  See this section for more information.
