Industry Canada is the lead federal department
for emergency telecommunications policies and
programs in Canada. It is administered
nationally by the
Emergency Telecommunications
Branch within the radio spectrum management
program.
The Pacific Region of Industry Canada is one of
five regions in Canada. It includes the
Province of British Columbia and the Yukon
Territory. The
organization and
legal responsibilities of the Emergency
Telecommunications Branch within Industry
Canada at the national level provide the basis
for direction to the regions. Within the
Pacific region, emergency telecommunications is
managed under the spectrum management program
based at Library Square in Vancouver.
