IMRC - Tools Sub-Group: Overview

The Tools Sub-Group will be reviewed in the Fall of 2003.

The main tasks of the Tools Sub-Group were:

• To help set up tools for the Government on the Net workshop held on April 25, 2001; 
  
  
• To identify public domain tools and government developed tools suitable for implementation of Common Look and Feel Standard 6.3; 
  
  
• To recommend upgrades to existing government tools to bring into line with Dublin Core; 
  
  
• To set up evaluation criteria for commercial tools; 
  
  
• To review commercial and public domain tools that would be available on the Information Management Resource Centre (IMRC) Web site; 
  
  
• To liaise with the new DCMI Tools Working Group (http://dublincore.org/groups/tools/).
