Content Criteria and Submission

Perspectives is an electronic bulletin managed by Transport Canada Civil Aviation, Aircraft Certification Branch.  The information is intended for Aircraft Certification delegates and design approval holders.  Since Perspectives has a pre-defined format that shows only the first few lines of an article (and hyperlinks to the rest of it), it is very important that the key information be captured in the first few lines

Do you have an article for our ebulletin?  Does it meet the following criteria?

  • TCCA Aircraft Certification personnel may submit an article in the language of their choice. The Perspectives editorial group will coordinate the translation.
  • Web pages associated with the article shall also meet the bilingual policies and be translated whenever possible.
  • URL addresses for internet web pages shall be submitted with the article. Please note:  TCCA intra-net (internal) web pages are not acceptable.
  • Articles shall be limited to approximately 700 words (1 to 1½ pages).
  • Each article shall contain contact information—name and email address.
  • Information must be timely.  This means that it must be an article or information about an event that was current roughly two months before or after anticipated publication date. Stale-dated articles will not be accepted; articles requiring action more than two months in the future may be delayed until the next publication.
  • Date announcements for upcoming events may be submitted at any time.
  • Please do not use underlining in your article, as this implies it is a hyperlink.  Italics or bold are better if you need to emphasize something.
  • Articles should be submitted to perspectives@tc.gc.ca.
  • Articles should be received by the 1st day of February, April, June, September or November.  Publication will be at the end of those months.
