Location:

The Macdonald-Cartier Bridge over the Ottawa River links King Edward Avenue in Ottawa, Ontario with Highway 5 in Hull, Quebec.
Description: The bridge comprises five continuous spans of 88.39 m (290 ft.), 141.43 m (464 ft.), 159.10 m
(521.98 ft.), 141.43 m (464 ft.) and 88.39 m
(290 ft.) for an overall length of 618.74 m (2,029.98 ft.).   It carries six lanes of traffic on a 25.60 m (83.99 ft.) roadway and is 12.19 m
(40 ft.) above the Ottawa River.

The bridge was built between 1963 and 1965, and was opened to traffic in 1965.  There are two 2.13 m (6.98 ft.) sidewalks.
