Edmonton's Kevin Koe completed the round portion of the National with a perfect 5-0 record Friday night in Port Hawkesbury, N.S.
Koe won his third match of the day by disposing Winnipeg's Kerry Burtnyk 8-4 in Draw 9.

Earlier Koe defeated American Pete Fenson in Draw 7 and Winnipeg's Reid Carruthers after the eighth draw.
Koe is in the midst of a 12-game win streak that started when he won the Canada Cup qualifier last weekend in Ottawa.
Defending champion Kevin Martin of Edmonton earned the second seed following an 8-0 thrashing of Joel Jordison of Moose Jaw, Sask. Martin is looking to win his fifth consecutive Grand Slam of Curling title.
Olympic champion Brad Gushue of St. John's, N.L., failed to qualify for the quarter-final round, finishing the tournament 2-3 following an 8-3 loss to Peter Corner of Brampton, Ont. in the ninth draw.
The quarter-final features No. 1 Koe taking on eighth seed Burtynk. Second-seeded Martin clashes with No. 7 Greg McAulay of Richmond, B.C. Third seed Pat Simmons of Davidson, Sask., meets No. 6 Jeff Stoughton of Winnipeg, while No. 4 Corner faces No. 5 Wayne Middaugh of Toronto.
CBC Sports will broadcast the National's Saturday semifinal and Sunday final and CBCSports.ca will begin live stream coverage beginning with the Stoughton and Simmons quarter-final matchup at 10 p.m. ET.
