Jim Nunn - CBC News at Six

Host Jim NunnJim Nunn is one of Nova Scotia's most respected television journalists. As a reporter he worked across Canada. He was host of CBC's network consumer show Marketplace. Now he is back on the desk as the host of CBC News at Six for Nova Scotia.

Jim is from Antigonish. Over the course of his career, he worked on Parliament Hill, in B.C., Ontario, Alberta and Halifax. He may be best known to Nova Scotians for his week-long coverage of the Westray mine disaster of 1992 in which 26 coal miners died.

He hosted CBC Radio's Mediafile, and was a regular contributor to Peter Gzowski's Morningside. Jim was host of the CBC supper-hour news in Nova Scotia from 1982 to 1995. He produced and hosted the popular Harry and Parker political panel.

Then he moved to Toronto to co-host Marketplace for the CBC Television network from 1995 to 2001. At Marketplace, he covered stories across Canada and the United States and reported from Europe and Central America.

In recent years Jim has hosted the network series Land and Sea. He was named host of CBC News at Six in September, of 2007.
