GET MOVING MANITOBA is all about helping you get more active - by encouraging you to make a personal lifestyle pledge to engage in regular physical activity. This year, Get Moving Manitoba and CBC supported the Guinness World Record Walk The walk took place on Oct. 3 @ 11:30 a.m. and involved thousands of Canadians walking 1 km at the same time across the country. CBC partnered with local downtown businesses and registered our event as the CBC and Friends Downtown Winnipeg Walk. Prizes were handed out and a hot lunch was served. Congratulations to all the 1053 walkers that participated in our CBC and Friends Downtown Winnipeg Walk. We would like to acknowledge our partners and thank them for their support in making this event a success.
