"I'm not happy and I'm not disappointed," said Omischl, a native of North Bay, Ont.

He held a big lead after his opening quad-twisting triple somersault, but struggled with the landing on his easier second jump.

"I came up a little bit heavy, so I didn't sell my landing as well as I could have," Omischl said.

Dmitri Dashinski of Belarus took first with 247.23 points, while 2006 Olympic champion Xiaopeng Han of China was second (241.10).

Warren Shouldice of Calgary came in 13th.

Omischl's performance was enough to keep him atop the overall World Cup aerials standings with 160 points, followed by Dashinski (145).

Jacqui Cooper of Australia won the women's aerials final for the second straight day, scoring 204.28 points. Nina Li of China was second (195.81) while teammate Shuang Cheng took third (188.22).
