Conditions of use of Statistics Canada material

Teachers may photocopy or reproduce electronically all material on the Learning Resources section of the Statistics Canada website as well as any free content in other sections of the site for use in the classroom. In addition, teachers may photocopy any Statistics Canada item or article referred in the "Lesson Plans" web pages for use in the classroom. Any copy of these materials shall retain all copyright and other proprietary notices in the same form and manner as on the original, and include the complete URL as applicable.

Teachers may edit and/or redraw the material, abridge the text or tables, use only extracts and/or simplify certain vocabulary items. Should this be the case, "Adapted from", must be indicated as such in the Source. The source of the data must be acknowledged in all documents and communications, including on Internet sites, by providing the following source citation:

"Source (or "Adapted from", if appropriate): Statistics Canada, www.statcan.ca/...(complete URL), and date of extraction"

or, in the case of material obtained from free publications:

"Source (or "Adapted from", if appropriate): Statistics Canada, title of publication, catalogue, volume and issue numbers, and reference period."
