National ResourcesCATA WIT (Women in Technology) ForumCATA WIT (Women in Technology) Forum is a new community network designed to boost women's participation and advancement in the high-growth technology sector. Its mission is to help women in technology companies advance in their careers and succeed as entrepreneurs through mentoring, networking, professional development and advocacy. WIT Forum is a division of CATAAlliance, the industry's largest high tech trade association, enabling the Forum to advocate for and and assist women across all technology sectors. WIT members benefit from CATA platform of services and resources and from CATA overall mandate to advance the business of technology. Canadian Entrepreneurial Women Canadian Entrepreneurial Women is an online networking group for women in business in Canada. An e-mail discussion list and on-line resources files are available. Loosely knit "chapters" that meet "face to face" are held occasionally. There are 130 members in every provinces and coast-to-coast. Each member helps each other by doing business with each other, finding other women to collaborate on projects with, or asking for/receiving help regarding running a business in Canada. Members are home-based and public - retail, service and wholesale - in every sector of the economy. Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs (CFBPWC), better known as BPW Canada, the Canadian Federation, as a member of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, links business and professional women across Canada to provide support for and recognition of their achievements, and to work toward equality of opportunity and economic security for all women. Canadian Women's Business Network This group offers information on networking for businesswomen. Canadian Women in Communications (CWC) The CWC is a national, bilingual, not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the involvement and impact of women in the converging communications industries. The site includes background information, events, articles, and membership information. Women Business Owners of Canada Women business owners in Canada now have a national organization to promote sharing of information and advice, and serve as a consolidated voice of influence on their behalf. Women Entrepreneurs of Canada Foundation WEC is a dynamic organization offering seasoned women entrepreneurs an opportunity to profile, promote and meet with other successful business women. Eastern Canada (NB, NS, PEI, NF)Association of Atlantic Women Business Owners (AAWBO)A resource group of women business owners committed to sharing information, and supporting and encouraging each other. Newfoundland and Labrador Organization for Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) A not-for-profit organization aimed at supporting women's contribution to growth in business and community economic development. Ontario & QuebecFemmes et entrepreneuriat en Mauricie (FEM) (In French only)Femmes et entrepreneuriat en Mauricie (FEM), is a not-for-profit organization managed by an administration board, mainly formed by women entrepreneurs from the Mauricie territory. You will find on their site: the mission, the list of their services, some information on their investment fund, an electronic billboard containing various information on their organization as well as a list of useful links. Guelph Women in Networking (GWIN) Guelph Women in Networking advocates the success of female entrepreneurs, women with business careers, and business women by committing its members to supporting each other in their business and professional development. K-W Business Women's Association Located in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, K-W Business Women in Networking is a professional association for business women that advocates the success of its members on a professional and personal level. London Business and Professional Women's Club (London BPWC) The Business and Professional Women's Club is a non-for-profit and non-partisan, feminist organization which promotes the interests of working women. It operates within the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs towards the improvement of the status of women in all phases of society, especially in business, the professions and industry. Central Canada (MB, SK)Manitoba Women's Enterprise CentreManitoba's only non-profit organizations dedicated to helping entrepreneurial women address the unique challenges facing them as they build their businesses. The Centre provides an extensive range of practical, results-oriented services such as business advice by appointment, loans (start-up and expansion), seminars, referrals, networking and mentoring opportunities for Manitoba women.
