Research
has shown that patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have an
almost 4-fold increased risk of developing lymphoma. Dr. Ann
Clarke is conducting research that should
help identify
patients at highest risk for
lymphoma and provide guidance regarding
initiation and maintenance of therapy to control SLE. Learn more...
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and
partners, Dr. Clarke is just one of many researchers to receive
support in 2006/2007 through The Arthritis Society's Research
and Career Development Program. |

"I'm another Mom who has a
son diagnosed with JRA about 3 years ago. When he is not in a
flare up, or is on a med that is working,
he is a
totally different person. Otherwise, we cannot get him
to go to school so he is missing out on
an education and friendships. I become frustrated and worried. Any advice?"
writes CGW on the childhood (juvenile) arthritis discussion
board.

"I'm losing my job because I have a disability but I
thought that the Employer had a duty to accommodate an employee
when they had or developed a
disability. I feel that I'm being blackmailed here --
I don't see what choice I have. Does anyone know about this?"

discussion board. | | |
