  • Gregory Westlake - Oakville, ON: This two-time Goaltender of the Year is now playing forward for the national Sledge Hockey Team.

  • Edona Çaku - Toronto, ON: Raised money to replenish the shelves of the library in her hometown of Shkoder, Albania.

  • Hannah Taylor - Winnipeg, MB: She created the Ladybug Foundation after seeing a man eating from a garbage can.

  • Heather Muir - Walkerton, ON: She tells her story and motivates people to donate blood for Canadian Blood Services.

  • Josianne Gosselin-Dubois - Gatineau, QC: She is dynamic, engaging and dedicated. Social engagement is her thing!

  • Kayla Cornale - Burlington, ON: She created a teaching system which applies the musical component of pitch to help young people with autism.

  • Larissa Fulawka - Lac La Biche, AB: She created a Chess Club for students with learning difficulties.

  • Miles Robert Aronson - Calgary, AB: Founder of Spread the Love, he inspires youth to supply hundreds of sandwiches to homeless people.

  • Melanie Bell - Coleman, PEI: She wrote, illustrated and self-published a book of poetry to help farmers of Africa.

  • Naveen Hassan - Toronto, ON: Based on student concerns, she initiated three safe school programs at her high school.

  • Ryan Hreljac - Kemptville, ON: Ryan's Well Foundation springs eternal.

  • Sami Obaïd - Laval, QC: Sami's goal in life: Do something big for humanity!

  • Sarah Dubé - Halifax, NS: She formed a group that is committed to promoting the understanding and respect of all cultures.

  • Stephanie Dotto - Kirkland, QC: Provided shoes, medicines and educational opportunities to kids in Malawi, Africa. Recipient of the 2005 Top 20 Under 20 award.

Innovative Youth

  • Alison Mark - Kingston, ON: Helping to develop flexible and affordable steels for the automobile manufacturing industry.

  • Asha Suppiah - Deep River, ON: This golden girl uses her brain power to fuel cells.

  • Douglas Price - London, ON: He created a musical theatre production which was performed at his high school.

  • Dustin Hughes - South Porcupine, ON: Built a special wind column prototype that could turn CO2 in the atmosphere into useable energy.

  • Gabriel Rigg, David Dickinson and Michael Armson - Halifax, NS: Investigated the benefits of blueberries in fighting age-related defects.

  • Gina Gallant - Prince George, BC: Taking the road less travelled, a young inventor turns waste plastic into paving material.

  • Jaime Blais - Ottawa, ON: Targets the toughest tumour cells to help find a cure for cancer.

  • James MacLeod - Ottawa, ON: Understanding HIV/AIDS at a molecular level helps him uncover big answers.

  • Jennifer Wang - Saskatoon, SK: She discovered that a native plant of Saskatchewan has the ability to kill cancer cells.

  • Joanna McNeil - Red Island, NS: She made a shocking discovery about the bioremediation of the tar ponds.

  • Meghana Saincher - Edmonton, AB: She discovered that essential oils could be used to decrease the decay of wood.

  • Nashila Addetia - St. John's, NL: Won the Canadian Stockholm Junior Water Prize for her water quality experiment.

  • Larissa Vingilis-Jaremko - Toronto, ON: Founded the Canadian Association for Girls in Science (CAGIS), a Canada-wide organization for girls 7 to 16.

  • Maren Beeston - Hanna, AB: Founder of a summer school of rock and other youth organizations.
