eServices Branch

The mandate of the eServices Branch is to enable Canadian Heritage and Canadians to engage, develop and showcase Canadian arts, culture, heritage and sports through innovative use of the Internet and new media technologies.

This mandate is delivered through a variety of strategies and initiatives, which include:

• A Canadian Heritage service vision agenda
• The Service Improvement and Government On-Line initiatives
• The Departmental Web site, presenting the face of Canadian Heritage to Canadians
• The Gateway: Culture.ca, the leading edge in Canadian cultural presence on-line and Canada's cultural virtual playground
• The Canadian Cultural Observatory: Culturescope.ca providing research information and a virtual space for engagement within the cultural professional community
• The Cluster: CultureCanada.gc.ca, a PCH horizontal contribution to providing a window to all Canadian government cultural information, products and services
