"ANDPVA was founded to provide aboriginal artists in all disciplines and stages of their careers with presentation venues and professional and artistic development opportunities. By helping to develop new talents and to promote Indigenous artists to the mainstream Toronto & Canadian community, the founders hoped to create a wider audience and appetite for Native artists and art forms resulting in more financially equitable opportunities for Native artists.
The Association continues to follow a distinctive vision and philosophy that the spirit of Native art is generated from the original cultural perception of Native heritage. ANDPVA remains a community-based and culturally-driven arts organization for the promotion and development of Indigenous artists through Visual Arts Exhibits, Multi-Disciplinary Arts Festivals and Artistic and Cultural Workshops for young and emerging artists as well as seasoned professionals."
