"We have worked for much of this time in collaboration with many of the artists and craftspeople involved in projects and also particularly with Paul Swales, Sheffield's Public Art Officer 1989 - 2000. We are indebted to him for his enthusiastic support and for much of the information on the following pages. The material they contain is primarily intended for use by students at Sheffield Hallam University, but should also be of interest to a general public and will, hopefully, answer many of the general enquiries which Sheffield City Council Officers and the team here are often asked."
