"Founded in 1969, the Museum Studies Program (MSP) seeks to provide students with a strong theoretical background and professional understanding of museum origins, ideologies, changing philosophies and current practices.

"The University of Toronto Museum Studies Program provides students with both a comprehensive knowledge of the function of museums in their broader social and cultural context and a methodology for research. The program is both academic and professional. The internship program will afford opportunities for students to further develop their abilities in areas of specific professional and academic interest to them. Financial aid generously provided by the Vivian and David Campbell Summer Training Fellowships, provides students with partial financial support for their internship placement."
