« Cette politique doit être une politique d'équipement : il faut désenclaver, amener les réseaux de communication. Ce doit être une politique d'emplois industriels : il faut aider les entreprises à s'installer dans ces territoires, prévoir des primes, compenser les handicaps. La Délégation à l'aménagement et au développement durable du territoire de l'Assemblée nationale assure en permanence un suivi de cette action de l'État. Sa préoccupation première est bien de repérer les fractures territoriales, et de travailler autant qu'elle le peut à ce qu'elles se réduisent ou à ce qu'elles ne se creusent pas. C'est ainsi qu'elle a publié plusieurs rapports d'information sur les fonds structurels européens ou encore sur l'évolution des contrats de plan État - régions, et qu'elle continue à suivre ces dossiers. De même, elle suit en permanence l'évolution de l'équipement numérique du territoire et elle rapporte régulièrement sur cette question. »
