"The representatives of Finnish and Russian castles and fortresses were taken by a bus to the historic Fortress of Lappeenranta. At the fortress the participants introduced themselves and the castles and fortresses they represented.
So far the Cultural Tourism Route between Finnish and Russian Castles and Fortresses includes 25 castles and fortresses. 17 castles and fortresses in Finland and 8 castles and fortresses in Russia. The Finnish castles and fortresses are: The Hamina, Lappeenranta, Suomenlinna, Loviisa, Taavetti, Ruotsinsalmi, Fort Slava, Utti, Järvitaipale, Kärnäkoski, Saimaan Laivaston kanavat and Bomarsund Fortresses and The Häme, Olavinlinna, Turku and Kajaani Castles. The Russian castles and fortresses are the Vyborg Castle, The Novgorodskaya, Ivangorodskaya, Pskovskaya, Koporye, Peter and Paul, Staroja Ladoga and Korela Fortresses."
