"MDA is at the forefront of promoting and supporting information management within the cultural sector. We undertake activities of development, advice, publication and training. Within our activities we prioritise the development of information management standards as well as increasing the effectiveness of existing standards and best practice. At any one time we are initiating new development as well as maintaining and improving established development. What is distinctive about mda is that we are solely concerned with issues relating to cultural information management, working with museums and related sectors (including built heritage, archives, libraries and education) in order to fulfil our aims."
