"The Culture and Technology Round Table set out to:
Describe the “new normal” within the cultural landscape;Identify evidence-based research that supports this description; and, in consideration of trends in the cultural sector and society as a whole;Consider the effect of digital technology on cultural creation, production, distribution and participation;Conceptualize the near future (5-10 years out).
What became clear by the end of the day is that technology is no longer a side bar to Canadian daily lives. It permeates virtually all activity and technology itself is becoming increasingly transparent. Digital technologies are fully integrated into the cultural sector and impact upon every aspect of cultural creation, production and participation."
